A genuine summit day from Marrakech, with a direct sightline to Toubkal
About this Route
A rewarding day summit that punches above its weight. The hike to Adrar Talamrout (2,600–2,700m) ascends through Berber villages and Moroccan pine forest to a 360° panorama: the Toubkal massif, Imenane Valley, and on clear days the Haouz Plain stretching toward Marrakech. Excellent preparation for multi-day Toubkal attempts.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
1.5h drive + 5–7h trekking. From Imlil, climb north through the Tamatert Valley past the villages of Targa Imoula and Tamatert. Ascend through Moroccan pine and cedar forest to the Tizi n'Tamatert pass (2,280m). Summit push to Adrar Talamrout (2,600–2,700m). Mountain picnic at altitude. Descend via same route to Imlil, then transfer to Marrakech.
